This is the before, 4/15/21.  

This was purchased sometime around 1996 and served as our first RE/MAX office in Cody.  We moved on to a larger space on Rumsey Avenue and

this became a rental property for the next 20 years.  If plans work out, this will be a new, single family home with a guest home in back.  Fingers-crossed. :)

 

April 26, 2021, this is today...the perimeter of the home has been excavated and the plan ( and we all know how that works ;)) is to move the house off the property on Thursday.  Not sure of the route but I'm going to be watching!As of May 1st...the lot has been cleared.  Now the fun starts, I think.  With supply chain problems anyone building needs to order ahead and then keep your fingers crossed.  Looking forward to making progress, one step at a time.

 

So today is excavation day!  The little home that got carried away was once our RE/MAX office.  Now we will reinvent this property.  Excited for the new changes.

June 20, 2021, Pouring footers.  This is a HUGE learning experience for me.  I've always wanted to build and now it's happening!

 

Patience is critical during this process.  It's mid-July and hopefully framing will start this week.

And this is starting to take shape!  I can identify windows and sliding doors.  It gets more exciting as it takes shape.  :)

Ane here comes the front porch. :)

 

So now the porch has a roof!  Getting there, slowly.  :)

This weeks progress...16' covered deck.  The house has a Southern Exposure with the deck on the East side of the house.  This should help to protect future BBQ's from the weather.  :)

 

New Roof, and the crew has been working overtime. :)

 

And just like that, a linear fireplace.  Obviously it needs some drywall and framing but once it's all dressed up, should add some interest to the great room.

Drywall is in, now comes siding!

 

Siding, fascia and soffit.  Now we're getting somewhere!

So creative with the corral panels...maybe someday I'll have flooring and fixtures. LOL

 

Interior Doors...painting done.  Now, we wait, again.  Tile is next.  :)
